It's not the Pitbull's fault

There was another attack of pit bulls in the Seattle area. A little old lady was severely hurt by two pit bulls. Very sad, she’s in the hospital now. A friend of hers, former child that she cared for years ago is out to ban pit bulls from Seattle and beyond.
This drives me crazy. People taking a side out of emotion, rather than logic. Emotions are great but when you are out to change the world make sure you do it for the right reasons, make sure you aren’t overly emotional or you may make a mistake that will effect more people than just yourself.

There are no evil animals. Bad animals are made not born. It is the owners fault if an animal attacks someone else. Most animals won’t attack unless provoked, i.e. cornered or scared. It isn’t natural for pack like animals to hunt for fun, to attack without provoking. Blame the owners. In the case of the two attacking pit bulls mentioned above, all animals were seized, the dogs that had not attacked were given back. That is the frigging problem!
Here's an idea,if they have an animal that attacks take away all the pets and don’t allow them to have more for a specific amount of time, if ever. If they can’t be responsible with their dogs they shouldn’t have them. The state will take children from their parents if they see abuse is occurring why not a dog.
Also, if they get another dog when they are not supposed to, fine the hell out of them!
Animals don't get a trial but why can't the owners be fined tried and punished? The "Oops I left the gate open" is not a valid excuse. If it was an accident while driving drunk then you’d certainly get in trouble.

Also let's consider how dogs ended up in our care. Our ancestors domesticated them we should take responsibility and properly care for these animals. We owe it to them. It’s our fault.
